The LMS Employees’ Association (LMSEA) is holding nominations for nine (9) Association Representatives that will make up the LMS EA Working Committee. You should have recently received a bulletin on-site advising you of the nomination process. If not, you can view it by clicking here. 

Nominations are due by midnight on Friday, December 11th. 

 
 

NOMINATION GUIDELINES

Your nomination must include:

  • your first and last name (to verify you’re an LMS employee); 
  • your current pod (i.e. the name of your GF) or working area (i.e. Yard, Office, Logistics); and 
  • the first and last name of the person you are nominating.

WHAT IS AN

ASSOCIATION REP? 

An Association Representative is a co-worker who serves as a critical link between your workplace and your Association. Representatives are a very valuable resource and you should be aware of who they are and their very important role.  They can often provide basic information on a wide range of matters from how to deal with workplace concerns or disagreements, to pointing you in the right direction on topics related to health & welfare or RRSP questions.

At LMS Reinforcing Steel Group, you will have nine (9) LMS Representatives that can be contacted on the job as needed. Your Reps will do their best as communicators and problem-solvers.  Don’t hesitate to lean on them for information or assistance. 

 
 

Who would make a good rep?

An Association Representative will be an individual that: 

  • is an LMS employee;
  • demonstrates leadership qualities;
  • works well with others; and
  • is available to participate in meetings once every 2-3 months. 

You can nominate someone you know or nominate yourself. 

THE WORKING COMMITTEE 

The Working Committee will have a Representative from each pod (pods are defined by worksites under each General Foreman), the Yard, Logistics, and the Office. Once the Working Committee is established, two (2) Reps will be chosen from the group to be Officers of the LMSEA Board.
